There is a quality to Karin’s yoga classes that I think is hard to find. She guides the class through both a strong physical practice and a compassionate awareness of the mind. She always reminds you of the spirit of yoga in a human and down-to-earth way, and somehow brings both devotion and humour to every class. Karin is an energetic dynamic and diverse teacher, who combines a very spiritual approach to Yoga. She keeps emphasising the importance of the breath and the significance of the soul. Without being aware of both we would be learning gymnastics not Yoga as she very cleverly puts it.

Karin’s classes are never dull and she always adds something interesting and new each time that we had not experienced before; sometimes a subtle change and sometimes obvious. These changes aren’t always text book but derived from her life experiences, inner wisdom and observation of her students to whom she pays particular care and attention and treats as individuals within a group so that she can address their needs and requirements.

Karin cares for her students on a holistic level and is very interested in the healing process that Yoga has to offer, and is constantly passing this on. With Karin. Yoga is not only exercise but an inner experience and great sense of inner peace in addition to the obvious fitness benefits that remain for hours after the class.

I have been practicing vinyasa with Karin for a year and half twice a week. The classes have really helped me to strengthen my body and mind. Karin’s teaching style is superb, challenging but mindful at the same time. Every class is different where new asanas and breathing techniques are included and it all flows nicely with beautiful music in the background.

I have also attended for the first time a yoga retreat that was run by Karin this summer and I loved it. The venue, people, the practice and the food were all excellent. The morning practice was a shot of energy to start the day, nicely combined with the evening classes where we had time to include some meditation and breathing exercises to our practice. It was a perfect combination that included time for ourselves between our practise.

Karin's yoga class is the highlight of my week. 90 minutes of hard work and yet total peace, I come out of the class feeling completely energised and yet peaceful. Karin is really inspiring and her yoga classes push you but in a positive way.
